The City Camp is located in the quiet, leafy outer suburbs of Vienna, and offers comfortable dormitory accommodation. The site features extensive sports and leisure facilities, with sports halls and playing fields, an athletics track, a boulder and climbing wall, an adventure playground and an indoor swimming pool. Your children can choose from a wide range of sporting activities, such as ballgames, archery and dancing.
An exciting programme of events is planned, including walking tours and a sightseeing trip to Vienna. Trips to Lake Neusiedl, the Hohe Wand Wiese and the nearby Bisamberg hill are also on the schedule.
On their sightseeing tour the children will visit the most famous landmarks in Vienna’s old town, including St Stephen’s Cathedral, the State Opera House and some of the other magnificent buildings on the Ringstrasse boulevard. The next stop is Schönbrunn Palace, where the children’s museum takes a fun and informative look at life in imperial Vienna. The maze and the playground in the palace grounds are also popular spots for children. We round off our trip to Schönbrunn with a visit to the world-famous zoo. The Prater park is one of Vienna’s best-known attractions. Its merry-go-rounds and roller coasters give this modern amusement park a nostalgic feel. A visit to the newly opened Madame Tussauds waxworks rounds off our stay in the Prater. During the other excursions, the children get to explore the walking trails around Lake Neusiedl, visit the playgrounds at the Bisamberg hill, and enjoy the beautiful hillside setting of the Hohe Wand Wiese.
